ABOUT ME

I’m Nikita Sawant, a passionate dancer, choreographer, and performer with a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Kathak. A Kathak Visharad, I have trained in a range of dance styles including Folk, Latin, and Contemporary, with advanced training under renowned mentors like Terence Lewis.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to choreograph for a variety of high-profile platforms such as:
• Netflix’s web series ‘Mismatched Season 2’
• R. Balki’s film ‘Ghoomer’
• JIO IPL Advertisement
• Sufiscore’s ‘Bole Naina’ featuring Zakir Hussain

My choreographic work also includes over 80 weddings, multiple school productions, and stage shows across India and abroad. I’ve conducted international workshops in Spain, Mauritius, Indonesia, Malaysia, Dubai, Bahrain, Bangkok, and Abu Dhabi.

Role as Examiner:
Alongside choreography and performance, I also serve as a Kathak Examiner at prestigious institutions like Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and Suresh Wadkar’s Ajivasan Academy, an experience that allows me to contribute to nurturing the next generation of classical artists.
